À l’occasion du Bicentenaire de la Photographie (1826-2026), la Fondation des Treilles propose un projet éditorial qui met en dialogue mémoire, territoire et contemporanéité. Développé dans le cadre du Prix Escourbiac – Fondation des Treilles, ce projet d’édition place au centre le travail d’un photographe contemporain dont la recherche visuelle interroge la Méditerranée comme espace de circulation et de dialogue. Par le biais d’une résidence et d’un accompagnement éditorial, un photographe est invité à travailler sur une sélection de ses œuvres, afin de la publier sous l’égide de la maison d’édition Odyssée et de l’imprimerie Escourbiac. Visant à soutenir le travail autour d’une publication monographique, le Prix constitue une forme concrète de soutien à la création contemporaine, à la valorisation de l’image comme outil de narration et de mémoire, et à la diffusion éditoriale de la photographie en tant qu’objet culturel et artistique. Les lauréats des éditions précédentes : Francine Cathelain, Jeanne Taris et Delphine Warin. La résidence qui l’accompagne offre au photographe un temps et un cadre de travail pour mener à bien et dans les meilleures conditions la sélection des œuvres et la postproduction des images. Par la diffusion dans des contextes de rencontres, ateliers et présentations publiques, le Prix Escourbiac – Fondation des Treilles contribue à la reconnaissance du livre photographique comme une forme d’expression à part entière, où la pensée visuelle dialogue avec la conception éditoriale.
